Hellebores, earthy, push through the scattered fall debris. This drawing I had done in January, when the early “White Magic” appeared.
Today, in my garden, Black Hellebores. But is black black? lack of colour, or is it supersaturated colour?
The colour is luminous. Such an intense colour that it is percieved as black.
Today, searching for light and colour,
my painting in conté. The ground is pink khadi paper.
Which brings me to this lovely hank of handspun. This carbonized bamboo/merino/soysilk yarn was spun by Judy MacLean of SweaterMaker Yarns
….enough for a vest? I’ll call it my Hellebore vest…
