Spinning and Weaving
This is a bit archival now, but joyful to recall return to fibers a few years ago – my rickety loom newly rebuilt, and the Indian Head spinner brought out of the dust. Fiber flying, dyepots a-stewing, shuttle flying, grandson’s toes sweetly curling….
- Lincoln throw
Handspun lincoln, brazilwood and goldenrod dye
- Loom restored
This loom which followed me around for 35 years, largely serving as a coat rack and mechanized play fort for my children, was dusted off, stripped, re-assembled and put in working order.
- Shuttles doing the huck.
Shuttles made by my sweetie. Dogwood and purpleheart. How lucky can a girl get!
- Huck Towels
Towels woven with navajo plied Ritchie cottons. Norse Huck weave structure.
